The amount of “Beat ‘Em Up” games have slowly dwindle over the years. Multiplayer and blockbuster games have taken over much of the gaming scene for “hardcore” gamers, and than you have the average mobile games that are great for killing some time. But, when a new “Beat ‘Em Up” is soon to be released, it becomes a bit of a speculation with a mix of curiosity. Especially when the the game in question is based on the mega-nostalgic franchise “Power Rangers.” No doubt the game is being released in anticipation for the upcoming live-action “Power Rangers Movie.” The trailer however shows a fun and playable game that could be fun for both newcomers to the franchise and old ’90 fans of the live action series.
The trailer does reveal a few details. While the game is a classic side-scrolling, beat-em-up players will have the ability to play both online and in local co-op mode. If you’re looking for a bit of monster on monster action you can experience megadroid battles against “bosses.”
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Mega Battle will be available January 2017 for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One. No word on a PC release but Bandai Namco will no doubt share more details during this years New York Comic Con.
